Data we collect

Account

Email, legal/display name, profile photo URL, preferences, and authentication identifiers.

Race data

Race entries, routes, telemetry, precise GPS during active races, finish confidence, official results, and recaps.

Fitness signals

Run pace, imported activities, optional HealthKit workout evidence, optional heart-rate/cadence signals, and integrity review events.

How we use data

We use data to operate races, discover nearby public races, calculate staggered starts, upload telemetry, detect finishes, verify integrity, notify users, support beta testing, and improve reliability.

HealthKit

Apple Health evidence is optional for the first pilot. Scorch only requests HealthKit access after the athlete chooses to grant permission, and uses matching workout evidence to support race integrity review.

Payments

Paid race pots are disabled for the Phase 1 free-race launch. Payment and payout records will be disclosed and reviewed before any paid feature is enabled.
